March, 2020 – DLVSystem together with the University of Calabria in fundraising to support local hospitals involved in the fight against #Coronavirus

The entire community of the University of Calabria is closely monitoring the evolution of the Covid-19 emergency and proposes a solidarity initiative for the doctors and health personnel committed every day to treating and assisting patients with Covid-19. Unical started a fundraising to help our hospitals, even with small donations. The funds raised are aimed at strengthening the infectious diseases, intensive care and resuscitation departments with the purchase of respirators and medical devices necessary for the epidemiological emergency. Specific interventions will be agreed with the health authorities and intended for the Covid-19 Centers in the area starting from the Annunziata Hospital.
The Recreational Club of the University of Calabria and several university spin-offs joined the collection. DLVSystem offered its contribution by joining the initiative.
Teachers, staff, students, graduates, student associations and citizens are called to offer their support, big or small.

March, 2020 – DLVSystem’s efforts to aid the flight against the pandemic

DLVSystem answers to the call “Innova per l’Italia”, an open call to companies, universities, public and private bodies and research centers, associations, cooperatives, consortia, foundations and institutes which, through their own technologies, can provide a contribution in the field of devices for prevention, diagnostics and monitoring for the containment and contrast of the spread of Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) on the whole national territory. “Innova per l’Italia” joint initiative of the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitization Paola Pisano, the Minister of Economic Development Stefano Patuanelli and the Minister of University and Research Gaetano Manfredi, together with Invitalia and in support of the structure of the Extraordinary Commissioner for the Coronavirus emergency Domenico Arcuri. DLVSystem offered to to set up a team of researchers working in cooperation with University of Calabria and the University of Genova, that will use of our AI engine DLV to implement workforce-management and scheduling applications to improve management tasks in Hospitals and to help monitoring the territory by the Police and Civil Protection. DLVSYSTEM also joined the initiative UNICALvsCOVID19 that is pursuing UNICAL through the Liason Office.

March, 2020 – DLVSystem AI Consultant in “MAP4ID” project

DLVSystem takes part in MAP4ID project as a consultant in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. The project – funded by PON program of the Ministry of Economic Development – is led by Intelligentia (Artificial Intelligence Company), Intellimech (Mechatronic Research Consortium), and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Calabria (AI Research Centre). The aim of the project is the implementation of a innovative platform capable of managing and integrating different kind of data (IoT, Corporate Information Systems, External sources, etc.)

December, 2019 - DLVSystem obtained the innovative SME status

DLVSystem obtained the innovative SME status by registering into a special section of the Business Register.
Thanks to this new status DLVSystem can benefit tailor-made company regulations, robust tax breaks for financial instruments and venture capital, as well as a simplified access to the main national credit guarantee programme.
The notion of“innovative SME”was introduced by Decree Law 3/2015.It comprises any small or medium-sized enterprise characterized by a strong innovation component, regardless of itslevel of maturity.This typology can benefit from most of the support measures provided by Decree Law 179/2012(the “ItalianStartup Act”), which was formerly aimed just at innovative businesses in their startup phase.

November, 2019 – DLVSystem at “AIIA 2019″

The International Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIIA), which is holding at the moment at the University of Calabria, started with a free admission event called “Ti fidi di me?” (Cinema Teatro Garden in Rende). The event welcomed curious and expert people, local authorities, university and school students as well as several experts and companies operating in the field of artificial intelligence. During the event, Professor Calimeri, CEO of company DLVSYSTEM, has described the activities of DLVSYSTEM operating in Calabria but collaborating with eminent Italian and international companies.

 

October, 2019 – Registration of the DLV’s logo

The DLV technology is well known and used through the world, both in the academic and industrial fields. It has been fundamental for the realization of important applications such as those ones realized both for the space shuttle and the CERN in Geneva.
After the registration of the brand in October in the European Union, DLVSystem, in the next months, will register the brand also in China and in the United States.

 

September, 2019 – A new logo of DLVSystem

After the official opening at the new headquarters, the company launches today the new corporate brand. It aims at increasing both the success of DLV technologies in the AI sector and the visibility of the firm.
“The new corporate brand is just another step in our new communication strategy. The core of the logo represents our core and ignition technology: DLV. We definitely want to strengthen our reputation in the AI market”, said the CEO of DLVSystem Prof. Francesco Calimeri.

August, 2019 – DLVSystem will partecipate to “Italian Digital Challenge”

DLVSystem will join the international conference “Italian Digital Challenge 2019″. The event will take place in Brussels, Oct. 1-3. “It will be a great chance to publicize our know-how in Artificial Intelligence Technologies and to meet new potential customers or reasearch partners. We believe that the system DLV could play an important role in digitisation process” said the CEO of DLVSystem Prof. Francesco Calimeri.

DLVSystem won the “Artificial Intelligence Prize”

DLVSystem awarded with the “Artificial Intelligence Prize” by the Chamber of Commerce of Cosenza. The company also received a “voucher” to be spent in training activities in the field of Industry 4.0. The investments made in the sector of Artificial Intelligence Sector and the strongly innovative project under the Knowledge Representation and Reasoning system DLV were the main motivations of the jury’s choice.

DLVSystem is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Cosenza since the foundation of the company (2005). As of June 2019 it is also ranked in the special registry of the Chamber of Innovative SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises).
